Asclepias michauxii Decaisne. Michaux's Milkweed. Phen: (Mar-) Apr-Jun (-Sep); May-Aug. Hab: Pine savannas. Dist: Se. NC south to peninsular FL, west to e. LA. The 1961 collection documenting this species for NC was variously misdetermined until recently as A. cinerea or A. longifolia.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
