not marked as a favorite taxon Asclepias viridis Walter. Common name: Green Antelope-horn, Spider Milkweed. Phenology: Jan-Nov; (Apr-) May-Nov. Habitat: Prairies, dry woodlands, calcareous hammocks, pine rocklands (s. FL), roadsides, pastures. Distribution: Ne. South Carolina (Horry County) south to s. Florida, west to Texas; and from Ohio, w. West Virginia, and Kentucky west to Nebraska, south to se. Tennessee, c. Tennessee (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997), nw. Georgia, c. Alabama, c. Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.
