Orthosia scoparia (Nuttall) Liede & Meve. Leafless Swallowwort. Phen: Jan-Dec; (Oct-) Jan-Feb (-Apr); Hab: Coastal hammocks, shell mounds, other hardwood hammocks. Dist: Se. SC south to s. FL, west to FL Panhandle; West Indies; n. South America.

ID notes: This species quickly loses its leaves during the growing season.
