*Cuscuta suaveolens Seringe. Subgenus: Grammica. Fringed Dodder, Lucerne Dodder, Alfalfa Dodder. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Fields, especially on herbaceous Fabaceae. Dist: Native of South America. Reported from scattered sites in eastern North America, allegedly including AL, MD, and OH.

Origin/Endemic status: South America

Synonymy: = C, G, GrPl, K1, K3, K4, Tx, Spaulding (2013a), Yuncker (1965); = Grammica suaveolens (Ser.) Des Moul.
