Physalis missouriensis Mackenzie & Bush. Missouri Ground-cherry. Phen: Jun-Oct. Hab: Streambanks, glades, dry woodlands. Dist: MO and se. NE south to AR and OK. Also reported from nc. GA in Jones & Coile (1988); record not repeated in Kartesz (1999) and now documented as a misidentification.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
