Gratiola amphiantha D. Estes & R.L. Small. Common name: Pool-sprite, Snorkelwort. Phenology: Apr. Habitat: Vernal pools on granitic flatrocks. Distribution: Endemic to granitic flatrocks of ec. AL, nc. GA (17 counties), and sc. SC.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Hilton & Boyd (1996) and Patrick, Allison, & Krakow (1995) discussed the ecology and population ecology of this remarkable plant in detail.

Synonymy : = FNA17, K4, Estes & Small (2008); = Amphianthus pusillus Torr. — GW2, RAB, S, Pennell (1935). Basionym: Gratiola amphiantha D.Estes & R.L.Small 2008 "Urbasionym:" Amphianthus pusillus Torr. 1837
