Hab: Streambanks, bogs, wet meadows, moist prairies, dryish soils in areas with prairie affinities, woodlands on high pH soils. Dist: VT west to MB, south to nc. and nw. GA, w. FL Panhandle (Escambia County), and LA.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: Populations seem to be of somewhat sporadic or irregular appearance from year to year.
