Pycnanthemum torreyi Bentham. Torrey's Mountain-mint. Phen: Jun-Oct. Hab: Dry rocky woodlands, over mafic, ultramafic, or calcareous rocks, dry powerline rights-of-way. Dist: NH west to IL, south to NC and SC.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: A tetraploid and hexaploid species (n = 40 and ca. 60). The epithet spelling ‘torrei’ is a correctable error.
