*Leuzea repens (Linnaeus) D.J.N. Hind. Russian Knapweed. Phen: May-Sep. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: Native of Eurasia. Reported for VA (FNA), but there is apparently no documentation for its occurrence there; this serious invasive weed is widespread in western North America, east to OH, KY, and AR.

Origin/Endemic status: Eurasia

Synonymy : = ZA; = Acroptilon repens (L.) DC. – FNA19, Il, K1; = Centaurea repens L. – C, F, G, GrPl, Oh3; = Rhaponticum repens (L.) Hidalgo – K3, K4, Mi, Hidalgo et al (2006), Susanna & Garcia-Jacas in Kadereit & Jeffrey (2007)
