Ampelaster carolinianus (Walter) Nesom. Climbing Aster. Phen: Late Sep-Dec. Hab: Swamps, thickets, marshes, streambanks, freshwater tidal marshes and swamps. Dist: Se. NC south to s. FL, west to s. AL. Reported for s. AL (H. Horne, pers. comm. 2017).
