Antennaria plantaginifolia (Linnaeus) Hooker. Plantain Pussytoes. Phen: Late Mar-early May. Hab: Dry woodlands, roadside banks, cemeteries, pastures. Dist: NS west to SK, south to FL, AL, MS, AR, and OK.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: A. plantaginifolia is a sexual diploid ancestor of the A. howellii complex (FNA).
