Antennaria solitaria Rydberg. Southern Single-head Pussytoes. Phen: Late Mar-May. Hab: Forests and woodlands, often mesic and/or shaded. Dist: VA, WV, sw. PA, s. OH, and s. IN south to GA, LA, and OK.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A. solitaria is a sexual diploid ancestor of the A. parlinii complex (Bayer 2006).
