Crataegus dispar Beadle. Aiken Hawthorn. Phen: Late Mar-Apr; Sep. Hab: Upland pine or pine-oak forests under sub-xeric to xeric conditions, in well-drained clay or sandy soils. Dist: Nc. & sc. SC and adjacent e. GA; single sporadic collections known from Panhandle FL and ne. AL.

ID notes:A distinctive species with deeply incised and serrated, tomentose, pale bluish-green leaves.
