Hab: Bottomland forests, riverside scours, other rich, moist woodlands and woodland borders, wet hammocks (FL), primarily over calcareous or mafic rocks or on nutrient-rich alluvium. Dist: MA, s. ON, and WI south to Panhandle FL and e. TX.
