Erigeron philadelphicus Linnaeus var. philadelphicus . Philadelphia-daisy. Phen: Apr-Aug. Hab: Roadsides, meadows, disturbed areas. Dist: NL (Newfoundland) west to BC, south to n. FL, TX, NM, CA, and (?) Mexico.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Var. scaturicola Fernald, of bluffs along the James River in VA, seems to be merely an extreme form. Other varieties [var. glaber Henry and var. provancheri (Marie-Victorin & Rousseau) B. Boivin] may have more merit.
