Eupatorium capillifolium (Lamarck) Small. Common Dog-fennel, Yankeeweed, Cypressweed, Horsetail. Phen: Sep-Nov. Hab: Disturbed soils, old fields, clearcuts. This species, like E. compositifolium, is an excellent indicator of soil disturbance. Dist: CT, PA, KY, MO, and OK south to s. FL and TX; Bahamas; Cuba.
