Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A diploid species (2n=18).

Synonymy: = FNA20, K1, K3, Nesom (1994b); = Aster mirabilis Torr. & A.Gray – S; < Aster commixtus (Nees) Kuntze – RAB, SE1, misapplied
