*Ludwigia hexapetala (Hooker & Arnott) Zardini, H.Y. Gu, & Raven. Section: Jussiaea. Common Water-primrose. Phen: May-Sep. Hab: Ponds, lakes, sluggish waters of ditches or streams. Dist: NC south to FL, west to OK and TX; also in CA, Europe, South America, Mexico; also introduced farther north in North America. Reported for DE and MD (Longbottom, Naczi, & Knapp 2016).

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon is decaploid (n = 40). See Zardini, Gu, and Raven (1991) and Nesom & Kartesz (2000) for additional information.
