Ludwigia repens J.R. Forster. Common name: Creeping Seedbox. Phenology: (Mar-) Jun-Sep (-Nov) Habitat: Ditches, pools, and streams. Distribution: Se. VA south to s. FL, west to TX, CA, and n. Mexico, north in the interior to TN, MO, and OK; Bermuda; West Indies; Central and South America.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Reveal et al. (2003) proposed the name L. repens for nomenclatural conservation with a conserved type; if this proposal had not been accepted, L. natans Elliott would have become the name of this species (see synonymy).
