ONAGRACEAE

Ludwigia suffruticosa Walter. Section: Isnardia. Shrubby Seedbox. Phen: Jun-Oct. Hab: Periodically to seasonally flooded portions of limesink ponds (dolines) and pondcypress savannas of clay-based Carolina bays, . Dist: Se. NC south to s. peninsular FL, west to Panhandle FL and se AL.

ID notes: Easily distinguished by the clustered flowers, lacking petals but with showy sepals (usually white, cream, pale green, pink, or mixtures of those colors).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Syn: = Fl4, FNA10, GW2, K1, K3, K4, RAB, S, WH3, Peng (1989), Wagner, Hoch, & Raven (2007); = Ludwigia capitata Michx.
