Solidago vaseyi A. Heller. Common name: Vasey’s Goldenrod. Phenology: Sep-Oct. Habitat: Forests, woodlands, grassy balds. Distribution: W. Maryland (C. Frye, pers. comm., 2014) and West Virginia west to c. Tennessee and s. Missouri, south to ne. Florida, Panhandle Florida, s. Mississippi, and c. Arkansas.

Taxonomy Comments: Solidago georgiana Semple appears to us to represent a specimen of Solidago vaseyi with shorter basal branches in its capitulescence.
