Cerastium strictum Linnaeus. American Field Chickweed, Prairie Chickweed. Phen: May-Jun; Jun-Aug. Hab: Prairies, pastures, other open, sandy or gravelly areas. Dist: South to NJ, MD, VA, OH, IN, IL, MO, NM, and CA.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
