Solidago arenicola B.R. Keener & Kral. Subgenus: Solidago. Section: Erectae. Subsection: Erectae. Black Warrior Goldenrod. Phen: Sep-Oct. Hab: Riverside scour areas. Dist: Known from Blount County, AL (Black Warrior River), on rivers in the Cumberland Plateau of TN and KY (notably Big South Fork of the Cumberland River), and on Rocky Creek (Walker County), GA.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: There remains some question whether plants from these various river systems are conspecific.
