Iodanthus Torrey & A. Gray. Purple Rocket.

A monotypic genus, a perennial herb, of e. North America.

ID notes:Iodanthus pinnatifidus somewhat resembles Hesperis matronalis in overall appearance, but differs in the following ways: petals 10-13 mm long (vs. 20-25 mm long), siliques 2-4 cm long (vs. 5-10 cm long), pubescence of the lower stem of simple trichomes (vs. branched trichomes).
