Onoclea Linnaeus. Sensitive Fern.

A genus of 2 species, of temperate e. North America and e. Asia.

ID notes:In sterile leaf, Onoclea sensibilis is sometimes confused with Lorinseria areolata, but Lorinseria has the pinnae generally alternate (vs. tending to be opposite), the pinnae generally acute or acuminate (vs. obtuse to less typically acute), and the pinna margin finely serrulate (vs. entire).
