Shortia Torrey & A. Gray. Shortia, Oconee Bells.

Key to Shortia

A genus of 10 species (if Schizocodon is excluded, as here), perennial herbs or subshrubs, of e. Asia and the Southern Appalachians. The closest relatives of our species are two Japanese species: S. uniflora (Maximowicz) Maximowicz and S. rotundifolia (Maximowicz) Makino.
