*Knautia arvensis (Linnaeus) Coulter. Blue Buttons, 'Scabiosa', Field Scabious, Bluecaps. Phen: Jun-Sep. Hab: Dry areas, pastures, other disturbed areas. Dist: Native of Europe. Naturalized south at least to s. PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993) and WV (Harmon, Ford-Werntz, & Grafton 2006).

Origin/Endemic status: Europe

Synonymy: = C, F, G, GBI4, GrPl, Il, K1, K3, K4, Mi, NE, NY, Pa; = n/a – Tat; = Scabiosa arvensis L.
