*Lycoris radiata (L'Héritier) Herbert var. radiata . Common name: Hurricane Lily, Red Spider Lily, Surprise Lily, Naked Ladies. Phenology: Sep-Oct. Habitat: Cultivated and persistent (or slowly spreading locally). Distribution: Native of China.

Origin/Endemic status: E., se., and s. Asia

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon is a sterile triploid, reproducing vigorously by asexual means.
