Ripariosida Weakley & D.B. Poindexter. Subfamily: Malvoideae. Virginia-mallow.

A monotypic genus, an herb, of ec. North America. The only species of this genus has long been considered morphologically highly anomalous in Sida, and molecular evidence has recently corroborated that view; see Weakley & Poindexter (2017) for detailed discussion. Hab: A monotypic genus, a robust perennial herb, of nc. United States.
