Origin/Endemic status: South America

Taxonomy Comments: The other subspecies, sometimes and perhaps with reason treated at specific rank, is ssp. lappula (D. Don) Bogin, of the Old World tropics.

Synonymy: = FNA22, Keener (2005); = Sagittaria guyanensis ssp. guyanensis – Meso6, orthographic variant; < Sagittaria guayanensis Kunth – K3, K4
