Viola species 2 ["pedatiloba"] . Phen: Feb-Mar. Hab: Alluvial sand and silt of floodplains and bottomlands in close proximity to the flooding zone, along streams and rivers emptying into the Gulf Coast. Dist: W. side of the Mississippi Embayment, w. LA, near Crowley and e.-c. AR, should be sought in the intervening region.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
