*Anthriscus sylvestris (Linnaeus) Hoffmann. Common name: Wild Chervil, Cow-parsley. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Moist disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Eurasia. This species has been reported from the NC-TN state line, on Roan Mountain (Mellichamp, Matthews, & Smithka 1987, 1988); the population is actually entirely in TN. Reported for Watauga, Ashe, and Alleghany counties, NC (Poindexter, Weakley, & Denslow 2011).

Synonymy : = C, Can, F, FNA13, G, Il, K4, MC, Mi, NE, NY, Pa; Chaerophyllum sylvestre L.; = n/a — RAB, Tat; > Anthriscus sylvestris (L.) Hoffm. ssp. sylvestris — Spalik (1996). Basionym: Chaerophyllum sylvestre L. 1753
