Paronychia scoparia Small. Texas Whitlow-wort. Phen: Jul-Nov. Hab: Limestone outcrops. Dist: AR and sw. MO (McDonald County) south to e. and sc. TX and COA.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Rohrer (1997) supported taxonomic recognition of this entity. Based on morphology, she preferred specific rank, but allozyme data was not as distinctive as morphology. She settled on subspecific rank, but a combination at that rank was not published. We here return to specific rank as warranted by morphology and the long disjunction.
