Cyrilla arida Small. Scrub Titi. Phen: Jun. Hab: Florida scrub, perhaps with some seasonal subirrigating seepage. Dist: Endemic to peninsular FL (Highlands County).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon has often been ignored or lumped into C. parvifolia, or lumped even further into a broadly neotropical C. racemiflora; it seems distinctive in leaf size, shape, apex, L:W ratio, the length of the racemes, and habitat. C. parviflora approaches as far south as Osceola County, but is morphologically distinct from C. arida.

Synonymy: = S, Small (1924b); = n/a – S13; < Cyrilla parvifolia Raf. – K1; < Cyrilla racemiflora L. – Fl5, FNA8, GW2, K3, K4, WH3, Thomas (1960)
