*Diospyros kaki Linnaeus f.. Kaki, Kaki-plum, Japanese Persimmon. Phen: May-Jun; Sep-Oct. Hab: Planted, may be persistent. Uncommonly grown in our area for its fruits, which are much larger than D. virginiana (to 9 cm in diameter). Dist: Native of e. Asia.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia

Synonymy: = FNA8, Spongberg (1977); = n/a – C, F, RAB
