ID notes: The slightly elliptical or pyriform fruit and sharply lobed, ovate-trullate leaves are marginally distinctive.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Possibly of interserial hybrid origin involving a Pruinosae parent; allied to the Populneae series by Phipps (2014d).
