Fothergilla parvifolia Kearney. Kearney's Witch-alder. Hab: Wet savannas, pocosins, and margins of pocosins, and pitcherplant bogs. Dist: Inner Coastal Plain (fall-line Sandhills) of SC and inner and outer Coastal Plain of e. GA.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A diploid species (Haynes et al. 2020).

Synonymy : = Haynes et al (2020); < Fothergilla gardenii L. – FNA3, GW2, K1, K3, K4, RAB, Weaver (1969); >< Fothergilla parvifolia Kearney – S, S13
