Dichanthelium commutatum (J.A. Schultes) Gould ssp. equilaterale (Lamson-Scribner) Freckmann & Lelong. Linear-leaved Witchgrass. Phen: May-Oct. Hab: Coastal Plain sandy pine and oak woodlands, dunes, hammocks. Dist: NC to s. FL; Mexico; South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Plants intermediate to ssp. commutatum are frequent, but recognition of the taxon at infraspecific rank seems tentatively warranted.
