Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: The broad, rather blunt leaves that often occur on terminal shoots may have contributed the epithet. It is assumed to be of hybrid origin involving members of series Virides and Molles.

Synonymy: = Crataegus viridis L. – Phipps, O’Kennon, & Lance (2003); = n/a – FNA9; > Crataegus abbreviata – Sargent (1922a)
