*Juncus conglomeratus Linnaeus. Subgenus: Agathryon. Section: Juncotypus. Bunch-flowered Soft Rush. Phen: Jul-Sep. Hab: Low, marshy or peaty places. Dist: Native of Europe. Reported for WV and northward.

ID notes:Much like J. effusus but the heads densely compact and congested, with a bract that can be swollen and occasionally slightly reflexed.
