Taxonomy Comments: The morphology suggests hybrid origin of a form of C. collina with perhaps C. margaretiae; alternatively promoted as a variety of C. collina by Eggleston (1908) and Phipps (FNA9).

Synonymy: = Lance (2014); = Crataegus collina Chapm. var. lettermanii – FNA9, G; = Crataegus lettermani – F
