Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Taxonomy Comments: A sporadic entity of assumed interserial hybrid origin, involving one or more versions of C. pruinosa as one parent. Additional parentage possibly involves C. margarettae Ashe in some cases, but the actual parental combination for all examples of C. ×sicca is unsettled. Differences in flower size and vestiture within the C. ×sicca complex has promoted segregation into two varieties, here considered synonymous.
