Smilax pulverulenta Michaux. Downy Carrionflower. Phen: May-Jun; Aug-Oct. Hab: Moist to dry deciduous forests, especially over mafic or calcareous rocks. Dist: Se. NY, se. and sc. PA, IN, MO, and e. KS south to NC, TN, and AR.
