Smilax bona-nox Linnaeus var. littoralis Coker ex Sorrie. Common name: Maritime Catbriar. Phenology: Late Apr-May; Sep-Jan. Habitat: Dunes, maritime thickets, maritime forests. Distribution: E. VA south to c. FL, west to Panhandle FL and s. AL.
