Crataegus furtiva Beadle. Albany Hawthorn. Phen: Late Mar-Apr; late Aug-Sep. Hab: Upland pine forests, pine-oak scrub, longleaf pine sandhills, disturbed woodlands, abandoned fields. Dist: Se. NC to c. AL, s. to peninsular FL.

ID notes: The most definitive morphological traits are the heavily white-pubescent floral and early vegetative parts and obtrullate, 3-lobed leaves.
