Crataegus pennsylvanica Ashe. Pennsylvania Hawthorn. Phen: May; Sept. Hab: Mesic, open forests, alluvial forests. Dist: PA and OH, s. to c. WV; somewhat disjunct in sw. VA where it is apparently native; naturalizing near a cultivated specimen in Buncombe Co, NC.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Syn: = F, FNA9, G, Lance (2014); < Crataegus coccinea – C; > Crataegus pedicellata var. ellwangeriana – F
