Setaria chapmanii (Vasey) Pilger. Chapman’s Bristlegrass, Coral Bristlegrass. Phen: Feb-Nov. Hab: Coastal rock barrens, coastal berms, hammocks, prairies, also on waste ground near wool-combing mill (Berkeley County, SC). Dist: S. FL; West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba); se. Mexico (CAM, ROO, YUC).

ID notes:Only the terminal spikelet on each branch is subtended by a bristle, which resembles an aborted pedicel.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
