Justicia cooleyi Monachino & Leonard. Cooley’s Water-willow, Cooley’s Justicia. Phen: Aug-Jan (-Jul). Hab: Calcareous hammocks. Dist: Endemic to nc. peninsular FL (Lake, Sumter, and Hernando counties).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Daniel (2013) argued that J. cooleyi merely represents disjunct populations of the neotropical J. pringlei. Wunderlin, Hansen, & Franck (2019) additionally treated the populations in FL as introduced.

Synonymy: = GW2, K3, WH3, Long (1970); = n/a – S; < Justicia pringlei B.L.Rob. – Fl6, K4, Daniel (2013)
