Calopogon multiflorus Lindley. Many-flowered Grass-pink. Phen: Mar-early May. Hab: Moderately well-drained soils of wet pine savannas and wet pine flatwoods (often with Serenoa repens, within its distribution). Dist: E. NC south to s. FL, west to e. LA.

ID notes:This species has a strong (nearly exclusive) flowering phenology approximately 2 weeks after fire anywhere from early-mid spring burns to late transition season (peninsular FL) burns. Mid to late wet-season burns often do not cause mass-flowering events in this species.
