Liatris carizzana (Gaiser) Nesom. Carizzo Blazing-star, Carizzo Elegant Blazing-star. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Xeric sands of post oak savannas, live oak woodlands, coastal dunes, sandy openings. Dist: Se. and s. TX, mainly associated with the Carizzo Formation, from s. Bastrop County, Fayette County, and Calhoun County southwestwards.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
